Internship
God graciously opened a door for me to intern with a nonprofit organization called Exodus. From the first meeting, I have been prayed for and poured into as much as I will (hopefully) get to pour into this youth ministry throughout this year! Below is a rundown of what I get to do with Exodus this year.
Disciples & Navigate
Disciples is a monthly gathering for youth to meet together to have some fun and dive into the Word. A fortnight later, I get to work alongside 6 other women as small group leaders to encourage our young women further into confidence and the Word of the Lord. The theme is "Beauty from Ashes" in Isaiah 61, and our group is called Navigate!
Mentoring
To go along with our small groups, we offer one-on-one mentoring to our girls so that they can be poured into on a more individual level. Plus, you get to go our and have tea together (which is a must for making connections in Northern Ireland, hahah).
SOAR
I help teach a leadership course called SOAR to the local schools. This is to certify students in practical skills like active listening, building habits and health, and more! Our hope is to build connections with those students, inviting them into the events we have going on at Exodus which could share Christ with them.
Event Planning
In the background, I get to coordinate fun nights with my colleagues. Alongside that, I get to design posts for Exodus Southdown's social media. (Follow @exodus_southdown to see my latest work!)
Teams
In the Summer of 2024, Exodus will have me lead a missions trip to Romania, which will help out with the Exodus branch out there and serve in local churches. (I have an initial training trip in April to see the center and learn more about what we're going to help with... so more to come on that!)
